EULERIAN, LANGRANGIAN AND IMPLICIT DIFFERENCE METHODS OF DESCRIBING MOTION ARE JUXTAPOSED AND THE LATTER IS EMPLOYED TO RESOLVE THE TWO-DIMENSIONAL PROBLEM OF AXIALLY SYMMETRIC MOTION WITH THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY IN HETEROGENEOUS MEDIA. COMPUTER RESULTS ARE PRESENTED.
